Recommended Starting Specification
Baseline parameters for your offer. Suppliers may propose alternatives, but any deviation must be declared and supported by test data.
Values are starting parameters for quotation and remain subject to sample approval and bucket drop-test validation.
MFI 9-12 alone is not sufficient.
A matching melt flow index does not guarantee a bucket that survives impact. Our finished product must pass a 675 g bucket drop test. Reprocessed PPCP with the right MFI but poor consistency, hidden contamination or degraded impact strength will fail, and a failed batch is a production loss for us.
Quotations that compete only on price and MFI will be ranked below those that document process control.
- 01Batch consistency: MFI and colour must be stable lot to lot. Each lot ships with a COA.
- 02Contamination control: No PE, PVC, PET, paper, metal or burnt/black specks.
- 03Impact strength: Declare Izod/Charpy data. Bucket drop-test performance is the final acceptance criterion.
